Original linocut "Night owl".
Designed (as all of my linocuts) by myself, carved on linoleum and handprinted with highly-pigmented oil-based ink in Burnt Amber on a heavyweight 100% cotton rag paper Somerset. Once dry, I hand-tint it with watercolor and embellish with 23 ct gold. This design was inspired by my love of "Arts and Crafts" and "Art Nouveau" movements in general, and my admiration for the work of Russian illustrator Ivan Bilibin (1876 - 1942), in particular. Bilibin used illustrative borders throughout most of his book illustrations and I tried to design my own border for this linocut.

Hand-torn edges so can be framed mounted or unmounted (with exposed edges).
 
Numbered and signed by the artist (me🙂)
Because the image is inked, printed and coloured by hand there may be slight variations in tone and colour, making each print a unique work of art.
 
Will be shipped flat in a protective envelop, carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue and sandwiched between sheets of cardboard to ensure safe delivery.
